About me

20 September 2011

Born under the Acropolis. I spent some time en l’Angleterre. Ended up in Paris to discover if the clichés are true.

I’m not really posting that frequently here anymore, twitter has taken over. Anyway, I’m always looking to communicate with people that like to share ideas, passion and creativity. The web is a cool means to change peoples lives.

Some tech I’ve dealt with lately in this life includes Play framework, jQuery/jQuery Mobile, Google App Engine and Heroku. The last mobile apps I worked on are Cabster and SponsorMe.

I’m now looking for an exciting opening in the industry and working on ambitious – ambiguous web projects in fashion and art. Also an ICT Systems Engineer at Apollon IIEN, a non-profit organisation focused on G&T students. I’ve been aiding academics in interesting proposals and organising conferences. If you happen to have an amazing job offer for me, preferably in Paris or London, go on and send me an e-mail.

My academic interests include Business Information Systems, Information Security, Green computing, Human-Computer Interaction, UI design, Web design and development, Web standards, Mobile applications, typography, accessibility and usability, Telecommunications, GNU/Linux and FOSS. As a member of the BCS, I follow the Cybercrime Forensics and Distributed & Scalable Computing specialist groups.

Being concerned about environmental issues related to technology and generally, I support various organisations. You should too, but be cautious.

Apart from the tech madness, I appreciate theatre, literature, poetry, history, minimalism and nature. I highly value classical studies, le Siècle des Lumières, Romanticism, Renaissance, la Nouvelle Vague, Neoclassicism, Gothic and Baroque architecture and art.

Cinéma is a passion and my taste is considered a bit uncommon as I’ve become quite infamous here. My favourite films usually come from Europe and Asia, although I do follow film festivals around the world.

I enjoy travelling and getting to know different civilisations, comfort but not excessive luxury and exchanging ideas and meaningful conversations that involve wine in cafés and bars.

Places I tend to spend some time in Paris include la Maison du Chocolat, Fauchon et la Grande Epicerie. I like to taste, cook and sometimes even seduce with food.

I’ve been described as impulsive, reliable, generous, “a chamaeleon that wants to live in Versailles around courtisanes feeding him grapes like in ancient Greece”.

Things I find interesting. Without beaucoup de bla bla. It can be described as a laconic blog.
